New England Boat Show

The New England Boat Show is the largest boating event in the Northeast and the biggest mid-winter event in New England. The show features over 700 boats of all types and brings in thousands of attendees from the New England seaboard and across the country who come to network and shop the thousands of boats and marine products and accessories.

The New England Boat Show has been taking place for the last 56 years and is held at the state of the art Boston Convention and Exhibition Center with its 500,000 square feet of exhibition space and 90 feet of ceiling heights. The show is held in February for one week and features hundreds of different kinds of boats and hundreds of exhibits of marine accessoriesand special items, but also dozens of informative seminars.

The New England Boat Show is a boater’s paradise with many models of boats. There are powerboats such as all-purpose fishing boats, bow riders, aluminum boats, flat boats, inboard cruisers, motor yachts, hunting boats, houseboats, runabouts, waterski boats, fish and ski boats, deck boats, wakeboard boats, luxury yachts and trawlers. There is also a wide variety of sailboats such as daysailers, auxiliary powered sailboats, cruising sailboats and custom sailboats. There are also sailing dinghies, racing sailboats and sailboards. Check out the other types of boats that are available at the show such as kayaks, canoes, rowing boats, inflatable or folding boats and wooden boats.

New England Boat Show

Besides the many boats, there are also hundreds of exhibits of the latest marine products and accessories such as anti-theft devices and alarms, binoculars and telescopes, cameras and photography equipment, oars and paddles, deck and beach chairs, sails and sailmakers, night vision equipment boat trailers and dollies and weather instruments. There are also water safety devices, radars, compasses and life rafts and other survival equipment. Those looking for boat necessities such as electric motors, engine parts, oil and lubricants, fuel tanks, cooling systems, and even oil, gasoline and diesel can find everything they need at the New England Boat Show.

The New England Boat Showis also very educational and showcases many demonstrations seminars that teach everything there is to know about boating. There are dozens of seminars that teach many different aspects about handling, maintaining, repairing, servicing, upgrading and inspecting boats, but also boat safety, cruising, and navigation. These interactive seminars are free to attend and are all presented by renowned certified captains and experts in the field, and they usually take questions from audiences.

New England Boat Show

To attend the New England Boat Show, tickets are required. They cost $14 for adults 16 years and older. Children under 15 years of age enter for free when accompanied by a paying adult. The cost of admission to the show also includes a 1-year subscription to a choice of the following magazines; Yachting, Salt Water Sportsman, Cruising World, Ski, TW Surf or Flying which is a $7 value. The show also has many other activities at Fred’s Shed Interactive Education Center, but also the Power Boat Docking Challenge and remote-controlled sailing at the sailboat pool.
